Feeding turkey to 100 is a challenge for me. This was my one simple turkey from two years ago. I have cooked for 15-20 family members, but this is a new hurdle I’m jumping next week. I found a fantastic planing website called Ellen’s Kitchen which specifically states every food imaginable for feeding 100. This is great for churches, schools or pot lucks. I’m so thankful to find this site right before I went to the grocery store. It helped me confirm what I needed to add to my list and keep everything streamlined.
In case you’re wondering how many turkeys I am buying or how much. Four 18-pound turkeys is what I’m going for. We’ll have quite a few starchy side dishes and plenty of homemade rolls and desserts, so I feel like less turkey is acceptable.
Thursday we are starting all of our make ahead side dishes and I’ll keep you posted.
I’m curious, what’s the largest number of people you’ve ever cooked for? Did you use freezer cooking principles?
